How to read the official docs

  1. Start at the source. The maintainers’ site is the only version that stays current. This card links to it; we never rehost.
  2. Purpose before flags. Read what problem the tool solves; syntax becomes memorable only after purpose is clear.
  3. Platform notes. Official setup instructions are organised per platform; find your section rather than improvising.
  4. Prerequisites. Every tool assumes something about your system; the official page says what.
Reading rule: use this summary to orient, then confirm everything in the official documentation. Never the reverse order.
